Movable Curves and Ample Normal Bundles

Abstract

We prove that the movable cone of a smooth complex projective variety is the closed cone generated by possibly singular curves with ample coherent normal sheaves, answering a question of Boucksom–Demailly–Păun–Peternell. For smooth curves, we establish the analogous equality in several geometric settings and give explicit constructions on blowups.
