Abstract · v1

For a finite group GG let ψ(G)ψ(G) denote the sum of the orders of elements in GG. If GG has order nn then, by a result of Amiri, Jafarian Amiri and Isaacs, ψ(G)≤ψ(Cn)ψ(G)\leψ(C_n), where CnC_n is the cyclic group of order nn. We determine all finite groups such that ψ(G)≥13ψ(Cn)ψ(G)\ge\frac{1}{3}ψ(C_n).
